My name is Sophia Ford. I am a junior at Bernards High School in Bernardsville, New Jersey. Ever since Hurricane Sandy hit in 2012, I have been fascinated by the weather and plan to study broadcast meteorology in college. I am a volunteer for the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS). I am also a competitive dancer. I have been dancing for over 14 years and plan to continue dancing in college.

I've been an atmospheric science enthusiast since the age of 4. I founded the Chapter in 2016 to bring together like-minded students. I am a first year student at American University majoring in business administration.
Ben Tomfohrde

I am currently a Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences major at The Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA. I enjoy living in the Earth and Mineral Sciences Special Living option where I am the Social Chair. I am also involved in PSUBAMS, Campus Weather Service, Storm Chase and swim on the PSU Club Swim team. I am a Lifeguard and enjoy golf and skiing.

I am Ethan Diamond from Narberth, PA and I am currently a first year student at New York University. My major is public policy and I love storm chasing.

I am currently a high school senior from Warrington, PA. I’m at Boston University majoring in Environmental Studies. I’ve been an avid weather watcher since I was a kid and as a high schooler, I found my passion being an environmental advocate.

However, members are always welcome and encouraged to get more involved and make a small time commitment to growing and managing our student run organization. You must be an AMS member to apply and all members wishing to take the lead on something will be given the opportunity.
